Mark B. Richardson, D.V.M.

Dr. Richardson has worked in the Veterinary profession since 1975. In fact this is the only field he has ever worked in,demonstrating his devine destiny. He has been on the College of Veterinary Medicine Zoological and Wildlife Advisory panel and currently serves as a mentor/facilitator on the Veterinary school’s Ethics Panel. And in January 2008 was named The Texas Veterinary Medical Association’s “GENERAL PRACTITIONER of the YEAR”.

Dr. Jennifer Knight

Dr. Knight grew up just south of San Antonio near Somerset, Texas. She always had a love for animals that developed into an interest in veterinary medicine as she grew older. She graduated from Health Careers High School in San Antonio, and went on to pursue a degree in Animal Science at Texas A&M University. A dream of living in the beautiful Texas Hill Country came true when Dr. Knight came to work at Bandera Veterinary Clinic, shortly after graduating from veterinary school. She and her pets now call the Hill Country home. Dr. Knight is active in our community through various organizations, including a local quilting club and “The Door in the Wall,” a non profit organization that provides recreational opportunities for people with disabilities, and tutoring the Medina FFA Vet tech team.

Dr. Samantha L. McIntosh

Dr. McIntosh grew up in Corpus Christi Texas. From a young age she has always had a passion for helping people and their animals. After graduating high school, she dedicated her time to obtaining her bachelor’s degree. While pursuing this she also worked at a horse stable and as a veterinary assistant. Upon graduation with her bachelors, Dr. McIntosh left the united states to attend an overseas AVMA accredited school, Ross University. Although she enjoyed the Caribbean beaches and beautiful scenery, she was ready to get back to Texas. After graduating veterinary school her husband, herself and their fur babies moved to the beautiful hill country. She is now living her lifelong dream of helping animals and people.

Dr. Avry Howell

Dr. Howell grew up in Johnson City, Texas. Helping her grandfather on the ranch, sparked her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian. During her high school, undergraduate and graduate studies, Dr. Howell worked as a veterinary technician at several different clinics. Following completion of her Master’s, Dr. Howell attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. During this time, she also married her husband Dakota. Dr. Howell, her husband, and two fur babies are very excited to be back in the Hill Country and look forward to meeting everyone!
